Abby's new favorites
"Just a minute" and "I'll be right back"
When I got her up this morning she related almost an entire conversation I had with her while she was helping me with cornbread last night (with a slight lisp) "Stir. Stir eggs. Break eggs! Tap Tap. Good job. Careful Abby. Stir, Stir, Stir. Careful, don't fall. Don't spill"
Re: What funny things does your kid copy-cat?
I don't have any for Leo yet, but I can share something really cute that my cousin's son does. He's about 2, and I guess he has an ear infection right now. The other night he woke up and was saying "ow, ow, ear. what happened? what happened?"
Apparently when he's sick or hurt his parents will ask "what happened," so now he just comes up to them saying that whenever something is wrong, lol! I thought that was hilarious

My friend got annoyed by something her 8 y.o. son did the other day. When she asked him why he did whatever it was that he had done, he just shook his head, patted her hand, and said very philosophically, "Mom, men were put on earth to irritate women. But you put up with me because you love me."
Yup, took the words right from his dad's mouth.
Which one is this? Cause she seems to copy everything I say these days...
Your weekly beverage making
My kids will cross their legs at the ankle like I always do. It's pretty funny to see the three of us in a circle with our legs crossed at the ankle.
Like a meeting of 3 little old ladies.
My sister's 2 year old says, "What the hell doing?!" Like her dad always says to the dogs.
Our Blog
Oh my goodness, there are too many to list. I think the funniest are these:
He LOVES Talking Carl (iPhone app). His favorite is for me to open the app, and then he knows how to close it (just press the main button). When you close it, Carl says "BYE BYYYEEE" in this really funny voice. DS says it the exact same way and it's hilarious! Then he'll just walk around going "BYE BYYYYEEE" in the Carl voice!
And yesterday he started making a "funny face". I've been doing this funny face to him for a few weeks where I puff out my cheeks and cross my eyes, and it always cracks him up. Yesterday he started copying me, but all he really does is stick out his bottom lip and kinda cover his top lip with it. OMG it's the funniest thing ever. I've been trying to get a pic of it, so when I do, I'll share it...
*sigh* I just love this age...
When 3 Became 4
I've always been known to curse like a sailor... It's only by pure luck she hasn't picked anything up yet, even though I do try not to talk like that in front of her. Last week I was getting her in the car from school and talking out loud about what we could do with the rest of the afternoon. I mentioned we could wash Daddy's truck (We had it that day) then I said aloud "I bet Daddy won't wash Mommy's car so why should we wash his truck! Screw Daddy" She repeated back to me "Screw Daddy". Nice one mom. Bad mouthing daddy and being mean. Good example...
These are all from DS:
Sometimes DH says "BRB" as he's leaving to run to the store really quickly (be right back). Now DS says "BRB." He even asked me if we were all going together the other day, "because then he wouldn't say it. You only say it when someone will be home waiting for you." The fact that he picked it up is funny and I love how he knows when and when not to use it and even explained it to me.
I love the word 'dumb*ss' and DS said it a couple of times. I had to give up my favorite word...it's hard because it works in so many situations.
I don't wear make-up unless we are going out and even then I don't wear much. But, this morning DS wanted to know what everything was for, where you put it, why, etc. He spent a good 15 minutes meticulously putting on his pretend make-up and then said, "Mommy, don't I look booble now?" Booble = beautiful.
When I climb onto a step latter or anything with height, my DD says, "Oh no, Mommy be careful, don't fall."
