nbr: alabama governor's race

Since this board has ladies from all over the state, I wanted to ask for your thoughts on the governor's race at this point.  Who is popular in your area, or who seems to be the frontrunner?  (not necessarily who you like, but who you've heard a lot about, who seems to be popular, etc).  Not looking for a debate, just wondering!  Many of them were here this weekend campaigning.

    Bradley Byrne seems to be popular in the Baldwin County area which may be because he is from here.  I had the chance to meet his wife several months ago and she is an amazing woman.

    Bradley Byrne is also very popular around here.  I work for a large law firm and all of the candidates have come here to give us their speech, so far it seems like most around here are rooting for Byrne.

    All anyone here seems to be talking about is the gambling issue.  We've watched a few of the rallies from our window.  There have been times I've been blown away by the number of state troopers and capitol police blocking roads dowtown.

    I agree that a lot of the attention is on the gambling issue right now.

    Although, when it comes to just the governor's race, a lot of people around here support Artur Davis. He has done a lot for this district, which includes Tuscaloosa.

    Ron Sparks is a  biggie in the southeast. He is pro-electronic bingo and for those who watch the news you know Country Crossings is a huge deal right now in our area...He is also who  AEA will endorse because of his stance on education.
