Slipped & fell in mud in front of a bunch of people

We just left our last pediatrician interview.  On the way to the car, I slipped in a big spot of mud.  Thankfully it was a "controlled" fall & I went down on one knee,  onto the side of my other leg then onto my butt.  No harm to baby!

The part that surprised me was that this was a meet & greet so there were a ton of other preg ladies & their husbands there.  Most of them were walking behind us & not a single one stopped to ask if I was ok.  No biggie, just thought it was weird!  I also will ask if someone is ok if they fall near me.

  • Maybe I'm just a *** then.  If I saw your SO with you - I wouldn't have asked.  If you were alone - yes.

  • I might ask unless it was obvious that you were ok and really embarrased...but I can't imagine walking by without saying something....
  • They probably just didn't want to bring attention to it and embarras you.
  • I fell in the snow walking the dog yesterday.  Not a bad fall (on hands and knees), but still.

Tons of Chinese people came running to me and gave me crap about how my husband should be walking the dog, not me.  In China, they treat pregnant women like gold. It's kind of nice.

(I'd like to say that my DH usually walks the dog but he's out of town on business...)
