Snow White is the favorite at our house, no matter how many other movies we try and introduce, its always "I watch Snow White?" I know its mean, but I seriously want to loose the dvd! When does this phase pass????
I'm seriously jealous. I'm the only female in the house and I am subjected to Cars, Transformers, and anything else boy related all day long when I'm home...UGH. I'd love to watch a "girlie" movie. *sigh*

ds is obssesed with CARS!!!!!! i cant take it anymore! he wants to watch it everyday! we try to entertain him with something else but he just loves that movie and also sponge bob!!! he is obssesed with the yellow sponge! i wish we could watch something else!
Nemo. She has to watch it in the car, whether it's the 2 minute drive to the babysitter's or the hour long drive to go shopping. Oh, and this morning, daddy had Nemo in his car, she was not happy.
Heh heh. I can quote most of the dialogue from Disney's Cars still. My DD liked weird stuff like nature documentaries. She had one favorite called Into The Deep that was an Imax movie about the underground kelp forests in the Pacific Ocean. We watched it so often when she was about 3 that I could still recite parts of it.
I swear that by age 4, you will never believe your child was this OCD about anything. By the time they're 4, they become more or less "normal" about stuff like this.
Oh-- and I have a rule about Christmas videos and books. It's against Santa's "rules" for us to watch Christmas videos after New Year's Day. I use the week between the holidays to let the kids get one last turn of their favorite books and movies before they're packed away.
DS seems to go through phases that last about a month or so. We watched Cars forever, then it was Finding Nemo, Handy Manny Motorcycle Adventure, and now he is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He has watched nothing but MMC since Christmas and finally last week I got him to watch Chuggington. I have felt like I wanted to lose a DVD before or "accidentally" delete something from the DVR.
Yes! It's definitely in long phases... For a while it was A Christmas Story. She loves telling people, "You shoot you eye out kid". Now it is a mix of Phantom of the Opera (no clue how that happened) and the wretched, yes I mean wretched Cinderella (The one with Whitney Houston and Brandi). I almost smacked my cousin for giving her that one!! It is awful. We tell her it's awful too and she says, "No it not awful mommy. She's pwetty." The new version of Annie is another favorite, but is at least cute and not as frequent. I have all of these memorized. DH decided he was tired of missing sports, so he told her that if she wants to watch her movie, she has to sit on the couch and watch the portable DVD player rather than the "Big TV". That seems to work for her. Oh this weekend she watched Princess Bride. Progress!!
We just weaned him off Cars and onto Nemo. He can recite lines- it's pretty bad. It's his "happy place". Whenever he gets upset, it's "Mama & Dada's bed, watch movie Cars?"
Re: Anyone else's DC making them watch the same movie over & over?
It's March and we watch The Grinch at least twice a week. She even sings the songs that Cindy Lou sings.
I never thought I'd dislike Christmas but I'm over it.

DD would choose Cars over Snow White any day.
My daughter requests the same movies all the time. Lucky for me, they're all ones that I like, too. Our current list is:
Up, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, Nemo, Toy Story (she loves Pixar), Wizard of Oz, and Handy Manny Motorcycle Adventure.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one still watching The Grinch! It's Christmas year round at our house. Even last night we read a Chstmas book before bed.
