Birthing Classes

I know this has been posted, in some form or another, before, but I'm putting it out there again. Also, I'm more a lurker than a poster, but I thought "who better to turn to for advice?"

So, I will be delivering at St. Joe's and will probably take their childbirth class but I may want some additional information/classes specifically about natural childbirth. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Welcome to the board and congrats on your pregnancy!

I don't know where to take these classes....but I hear the Bradley Method classes are the best to take for planning for a natural childbirth. I know they are about 12 weeks long and kind of expensive. Good luck!

I took yoga classes from this woman at charm city yoga, and she's rather good. She leads childbirthing classes also...

I did the Yogabirth classes too. I loved working with Heather and continue to stay in touch with her and people from the class.

Look into hypnobirthing.....that is my plan for natural childbirth. Franklin Square offers a class or you can buy the hypnobabies home course from amazon.com. My midwife and doula are also familiar with hypnobirthing.

I'm taking Heather's yoga birthclass now and I love it! It's really informative and you get all the benefits of yoga. Also, it's a great support system for natural childbirth.
