Mickey comes home tonight!

I can't wait!!!!!!!  His brand new Skineezzz (sp?) gorilla is ready and waiting to welcome him home.  3.5 hours to go!  The cats are going to be pissed that he isn't gone for good.  They made themselves quite comfortable in his absence - they have even slept in his crate a few times which was pretty funny.

    yay!! I know I would be excited to see my doggie if she was gone too! Lol at the cats sleeping in his crate!

    yeah for Mickey's arrival!!!  that is so funny about the cats sleeping in his crate!

    He's a mix - sheppard/border collie/golden???  who knows?!  his mother looked like a dingo and they have no idea what type of dog she bred with.

    this was his b-day party last April.  yes - I need children.  the dog got a 1st b-day party.

    how did Mickey's training go?

    Mickey's a mix too - beagle/whippet/???  They told us he was beagle/lab when we rescued him.  They lied.

    I think the training went well.  DH talked to the woman twice last week and it sounds like he has made some progress.  I'm just worried that he'll come home and forget everything.  They are going to teach us some stuff tonight and then come to the house in a few weeks so hopefully by then he'll be much better.

    dog training is so hard!  Wrigley's been in training twice but never where we dropped him off and then got him back a week later.  they do offer that service but we decided not to go that route.  I think he may need some refresher course this spring.  he was a crazy dog this weekend when we took him for a walk!

    Enjoy his return home!  I'm sure the cats will be less than thrilled.  :)

    Your cats are teh awesome and your puppy is SO cute I can see why it would be so hard to have him away. I still say the trainer just wanted to cuddle him for the weekend. Wink

    He is a really sweet boy when he isn't attacking people!  So it's definitely possible that the trainer just wanted more snuggle time.  He's really good at that.  I did get confirmation though that his two brothers have similar issues and we are waiting to hear about the last 2 in the litter.  Sounds like the abuse of the mom really messed with these little guys before they were rescued.

    Our puppy got a 1st birthday party too. Complete with hats and cake and presents lol.

    Now I feel like a bad mom - Mickey didn't get a party!  I think we got him a new toy though.  We'll have to make up for it on his 2nd bday in July.
