A little weird but I don't see much wrong with it. Could start a family tradition that way.
I don't think its any weirder than naming all siblings with the same first letter (we are doing this).
Plus we are 'those' people who are using 2 middle names and the 2nd middle name (for girl children) will be a form of Mary. DD1's 2nd middle name is Marie- if current pg is a girl her 2nd middle name will be Maria.
I guess I always put myself in the child's shoes (once they are a bit older). I'm wondering if the older child will feel like his name was "not his own" and the younger child might feel the same. Like his parents are comparing him/her to the older sibling. kwim?
Charlie's middle name is Grace, and I really like Grace as a first name. But I'm wondering if it's out since we already used it once. I really like how "Gloria, Charlie, and Grace" sounds. And then I'll have 2 G's and 2 C's. Or I could have a boy...
Let the fun begin. I'm secretly (or now not-so-secretly) in the TTC club.

I think that's?cute. ?And it would be a?cute little?connection for the two of them. GL!?
Some people will think so... but my kids have the same middle name, same as mine. Some people think that is weird. Do you have a special reason why?
I don't think having the same mn in common is bad, though- it's almost like the having the same last name. Not quite the same as giving a kid a FN that its sibling has as a MN.
I have a friend who's older sister is Brittany Morgan and she has Morgan for her first name. Honestly you don't use middle names that much so I don't really see why it would be a big deal if you like the name, it wouldn't come up that often anyways. Good luck with TTC!
I haven't posted in ages, but I wanted to give you a "not strange" vote! My mom's first name is my aunt's middle name (her older sister) and I think it's a cute little connection between the two of them. If you love the name, I say go for it.
I don't think it's that weird. If you really like the name (and obviously you do if you're thinking about using it twice! ), I don't see any problem with it.
But, this is coming from someone who's thinking about using her grandfather's middle name the next time around...when our first son already has his first name.
I personally don't like it. I REALLY don't like it at all to be honest, although I know its a strange thing to have strong feelings about. I used to date a guy named Gary Lee and his twin's name was Lee Paul. I always wondered why their mom couldn't come up w/ 2 different names. JMO.
i think it is a little weird, but I think the biggest thing to worry about will be the older child making fun of the little child saying you were named after me. it would be a point for arguments and fights.
Re: weird to use your child's middle name as your next child's first name?

So weird is in the eye of the beholder, I think.

Of course not.
Plenty of names in the world.

Not weird.
My stepdad is Joseph Patrick and his older brother is Paul Joseph.
