you can sterilize the tubing by boiling. i used the steam bags a couple of times, but the last time it started melting my tubes. then i realized that you actually don't have to clean the tubes after the initial sterilization. i just got new tubes from medela (sent them for free). i got them because of the melted part of my tube, plus there's a lot of condensation in my tubes. if there's nothing wrong w/ the tubes, you don't need to replace them.
