Is anyone else watching the Oscars?

in 3rd Trimester

If so, did it seem like a lot more people died this year than who they actually tributed?  And what the heck was that dance troop nonsense?!

    It's definitely gone downhill since the first half hour or so.

    I was thinking that too (about the people who passed) like why wasn't Farrah Fawcett on the list? Did she only appear on t.v. and never movies?

    I watch every year and have since I was abou 14 (almost 20 years now) and I can tell you I never remember a year so boring. The writing is terrible....the presenters' comedy is not funny, the hosts are boring, the musical and dance acts seem mismatched....i am trying with all my might to make it through...for me this is like the superbowl or the world series and yet....this year....BORING!

    I'm right there with ya.  I'm not sure if it's because I've been so preoccupied this year that I haven't seen a single one of the nominated films/performances.  But I'm dying here...  Yet, I refuse to turn it off!

    Yup, I couldn't agree more.  It is boring, dull and unfunny.

    and it seems like they are sucking up to each other even more this year...they're so self-congratulatory it's making me a little queasy!
