3rd Trimester

Anyone's LO transverse right now?

For some reason, the way I feel movement most of the time,  I think my LO is transverse (sideways).  Many times in the morning when I wake up, I can put my hands around his butt/head going sideways when lying on my back.  I'm having a repeat c-sect anyway but am interested in seeing if anyone knows for sure their LO is transverse and how did you know if the dr. did not tell you?

Re: Anyone's LO transverse right now?

  • I was convinced he was transverse the entire pregnancy. I would feel him on both sides at the same time, and never above the belly button.

I went in for a full abdominal sono at 29 weeks (sustpected gall bladder issues) and they confirmed it. He flipped by 32.

  • Yep, my doctor confirmed the same at a growth u/s on Wednesday.
  • I have been having regular u/s throughout and the baby has been transverse each time. I feel the kids on the sides and sometimes they seem so far into my hips.

I get another u/s this Friday and assume the baby will still be transverse.

  • Liam rotates between transverse and breech, but he is usaully transverse.

  • My baby was transverse as of 33 weeks, and I'm pretty sure she hasn't moved any. It's not uncommon with previa though.

  • My LO was transverse until 32 weeks. I could definitely tell because my bump looked really wide and stuck out on each side. Now it's more oval shaped that he is head down.
  • I have only been feeling kicks on my sides and really no higher then my belly button, if that. I also feel like I look wider more then sticking out. I have an u/s in a week to confirm what direction she is in. I only hope that she gets into the right postion in the next few weeks. I am not sure I want to have to have a c-section.

  • I swear my LO is transverse too, but I asked my doctor about it and he said that there is no worries right now since he is likely to move into the right position between 33-36 weeks.
  • This baby is transverse. I had suspectd this much to be true since about 25 weeks, and at my 32 week about my OB confirmed it. I go in a week and a half to see if baby has changed, but as of now I can totally tell it is still in a transverse position. The feet have been on the left side of my belly and the tushie or head is on the right of my belly button. I also don't feel any high kicks (above the belly button) or anything down low. At this point with my dd I felt feet in my ribs all the time and honestly was much more uncomfortable.

  • 34 weeks and transverse.  Confirmed at OB appnt last Thurs.  OB is not concerned yet and will not consider manualy trying to rotate him until 38 weeks.  When he rarely moves to the correct position, I feel like i can't breath with his feet in my lungs!
