Bugaboo Bee Question

Hi all - If anyone has a bugaboo bee, what is needed for using it with a newborn?

I have seen the carseat adaptor kits which makes sense. However I also see the baby nest (aka cocoon) so I am not sure if you need them both, or one or the other.  Assuming you would use the nest if you lay the seat flat?
