Somebody is watching too much 16 and Pregnant...

Last night DH and I went to a movie with friends, and it was rated R.  The lady who I was buying tickets from asked to see my ID (and DH's)... apparently, my wedding ring and pregnant belly are not sufficient indicators of my age.  

I'm 21 (almost 22) so I can understand getting carded for some things, but seriously, I don't look 17?!?!   I thought it was funny; I just laughed and showed my ID.

    lol!! hey atleast you know you still look young you'll appreciate that when your 35 and still look like your in your 20's (well thats what i've heard anyways! lol im 21 as well!!)

    I'm 25, I got carded buying a rated R dvd a few weeks ago......and I'm pretty heavily tattooed which should also be an indicator of age aside from the wedding ring & bump.

    I mean, it was Friday night and there were a bunch of high school kids there, so maybe she was just in the habit of asking for IDs?  

    I don't mind looking young; I spent most of my life with people thinking I was older than I was because of how tall I am (I'm 5' 10", and I was always "the tall one" in school), but I guess I have a baby face, lol.

    I love that I get carded for pretty much everything. I look 16. It makes me feel good!

    Haha I know how that feels for the longest time I was wondering why customers at my job were giving me weird looks, then one day a woman came up to me and asked me if I was expecting. When I said yes she asked me "are you 15?!?"....Even though I'm 21 (closer to 22) people think I'm 17-19. Makes my day more interesting.

    Well, take it as a compliment. Plus, 21 isn't so far off from 17 really. When you turn 30 you'll love to be ID'd for anything.

    Just in the last year Ive stopped getting carded when buying R rated movies a M video games.  I actually miss it sometimes, lol

    Well, she's the one who can get in trouble if she lets someone in who isn't old enough. I don't blame people who over card. I compeltely understand.
