They aren't going to let me test anywhere but my finger. Damn. I wonder how long it will take to get over my finger stick phobia?
Anyway, what glucometer do you have and from 0-5, what is the ouch factor? With 0 being no pain. I hear some are far more gentle than others.

the onetouch meters come with a lancet device that lets you set the 'depth' on like 8 different levels. the lancet itself is a tiny very sharp needle so it is a 'nice stick'. now if you don't change the needle (have done that on a retest), it will hurt more cause it's less sharp of course.
you can start on a very 'low depth' stick and see if you feel it or it draws blood. that is what i did. i had to move it up a little as i didn't even draw any blood at the lowest (and i have very thin skin and bleed easy) plus i couldn't even tell i had poked myself. most of the time i would rate it NOT EVEN a 1. every once in a while i use a different finger that is more sensitive and i feel it but it still isn't bad.
i'm a wuss and i telling you, it's nothing
like really, i'm a baby about pain!
Freestyle Lite.
Its like a 1 on the ouch meter :-)
Like PP it all depends on the depth. At first it hurt more then it does now. I dont even notice. Plus the pain lasted maybe a few second after i did it.

I have bought so many different ones (cause I keep losing them). The military gave me a Percision extra, and I have a contour at home. The device for the Contour is smaller & easier for me to handle, and also comes with a piece that will enable you to test other sites. The lancets I use now are purple, but I don't remember the brand. I'd say they are about a 1-2 on the pain scale, but I used to use blue ones that were at least a 3-4.
Good Luck!
