LO Dry lip & belly button

LO has a bit of a dry lip can i put anything on it? His cord stump fell off and I noticed some white wet looking thing inside his button, i put a q tip to dryit off and it didn't bother him, what should i do?

    For his lip, I would probaby try using Lanisoh (the stuff for your dry/cracked nipples). ?It's safe for breast feeding and you don't need to wash it off, so I assume it's OK if your LO gets a little on his lips.?

    idk what the white thing is but DD had it too. i kept cleaning it with alcohol and eventuall her skin grew over it/her bellybutton closed all the way up.

    yep, that was good thinking @ using the lanolin

    yup. i think you are right on track. after LOs stump feel off she had white *** stuff coming from her belly button for up to 4 days later. just keep cleaning it. just make sure it doesn't smell bad, bc if it smells bad, there could be an infection.
