Pennsylvania Babies

Lancaster OB

Okay I'm thinking of switching OB's I like mine now but I have to delivery at Hershey and I just moved 50min away from the med center. I'm looking into Womens and Babies hospital can anyone recoomend an OB that they used there?

Re: Lancaster OB

  • I can't recommend any of these. I just had to switch myself - I delivered there with OB/GYN of Lancaster but they now deliver at Heart of Lancaster.

But I can tell you these are the ones that I know deliver at WBH:

    Eichenlaub and May

    May-Grant Associates

    Lancaster Physicians for Women

  • I HIGHLY recommend Eichenlaub and May.  I see Cheri Gard, the midwife.  LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her!  Honestly, cannot rave about her enough.  Dr. Eichenlaub is awesome too, and I have never been comfortable with male doctors.

  • I have heard wonderful things about May-Grant.

I used Obgyn of Lancaster but like the pp said they moved to Heart of Lancaster.  That is where I delivered in January.  I really loved the hospital in every way except that they don't have a nursery.  The nurses were great and took DS for me for a couple hours at night so I could get a little sleep but having  a nursery available is much better.  Because of that I don't think I'd deliver there again if I were to have another (which I'm not).  If DH could have stayed with me it would have been fine but he needed to be there for our other two kids.  Heart of Lancaster itself though is unbelievable.  The suites are the nicest I've ever seen and the bathroom was way nicer than even mine here at home.

  • I had a really bad experience with May Grant.  The doctors there are almost all horrid. I met several during my ordeal and they are just very uncaring. I wasn't a big fan of my midwife either. However, when I was just going for gynecological stuff the nurse practitioners I saw were all really nice.

Right now I am using Lancaster Physicians for Women. I really like Dr. Krebbs-Hernandez, but I haven't met anyone else yet since I've only had one appointment. There are only three female OBs. I like it because it is a smaller practice. Hopefully I continue to like it.
