Babies: 0 - 3 Months

ok be honest-does he look like a girl?

So apparently the rest of the world thinks so, because everyone always says, "oh what a cute girl" "is it a girl" "aw a girl baby" "she is such a cutie" etc....and this is said while he is wearing a blue dinosaur shirt and surrounded by a blue blanket.  I just don't get it.

so you be the judge (and you will not offend me at all) does he look like a girl?  Has anyone else experienced this ALOT.

and here he is in something gender neutral

Re: ok be honest-does he look like a girl?

  • I don't think so at all.  I think he totally looks like a boy.  I'm not sure why people would say that.   He's super cute, too.

  • I don't think he looks like a girl!  People ask me all the time if DD is a girl or a boy, so maybe it's just babies in general?
  • OMG, what a cutie!  I think he looks like a boy.  Everyone does this to my sweet girl though.  She has pink everywhere and I always get "What a cute little boy."  Really come on now, check out all the pink every where, people!
  • nope. looks like all boy...especially if he's surrounded by blue stuff. some people just don't pick up on the hints.
  • He looks like a total boy to me. We still get that a lot even when DD is in pink and a bow (they call her a boy). I can't figure out why people do that.

  • I think he looks like a boy.  I can completely commiserate on the what a cute girl comments.  Cora can be dressed entirely in pink and people will say "what a cute boy".  Really??  Do you not see her outfit?  Honestly I don't think people pay attention.
  • Honestly? He looks like a little boy to me.

  • I would think boy too. DD causes some confusion because she has some blue outfits and it NEVER fails that she spits up or has a diaper blowout on all of her girly outfits so she has to go out in blue clothes. Like today, we went through 4 outfits before I managed to get a bib on her. I drove her to the doctors office with the bib in place because I would get some clean clothes on her then up it all comes! :-) My silly girl! I swear she does it on purpose...
  • Looks like a boy to me. Everyone says that about my son too and I think mine is very boyish. Who knows.
  • Looks like a boy to me...

I always think moms with girls make a point to dress them up so people know it's a girl - boys on the other hand, no bow = boy to me. :)

  • I dont think he looks like a girl at all! People are so dumb sometimes, I was in Target the other week and a mom with a little girl walked by and the mom said "oh he is so cute, wait I mean she is so cute" Wtf.... My son clearly looks like a boy and he had blue clothes on and a blue plaid car seat...

I would take what people say with a grain of salt. Most are clueless anyways and should just say "cute baby" if they arent sure what the gender is.

BTW your little boy is adorable!!

  • People always think peyton is a girl when she's wearing pink with a pink blanket lol.  Some babies look the same but he looks like a boy, for sure!

  • Not even close to looking like a girl.
  • Honestly, he looks like a baby.  DD has no hair, so I def get my fair share of people asking what is "his" name.  I think people struggle to figure out a baby's sex, especially if the baby is bald.   Your baby is precious and that is all that matters.

  • No! People...I just do not understand. They say LO looks like a boy because her stroller is unisex......whatever! Your LO is a handsome cutie patootie! :)

I think he looks like a baby!  Babies look like babies, not genders, IMHO.  He's a cutie, though!

OMG...your kiddo is soooo cute!! Tons of hair!! Jealous!!

  • Looks like a baby boy to me! Everyone says "he" to my little girl. And it doesn't help that her name is Jessie...but her full name is Jessie Rose, nurses and Drs just say Jessie so they think he, but family and friends call her Jessie Rose...

  • No!  Not at all!  I'm don't know why someone would assume one gender over the other if they couldn't tell.  If I can't tell what the baby is, I don't make a gender comment!
