I don't know why but I assumed getting pg with #2 would be easier because we already did it once (dumb, I know)...but now we are onto cycle 3, same # it took with DS. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, I know, but I'm just curious if it took other people as long or longer for subsequent babies. TIA!
Re: Did it take anyone longer to TTC #2 (or 3, etc)?
It did for us. 4 months for DD. For DS, it ended up taking us 16 months if you count from when we started not preventing (which is basically 6 weeks post partum after DD), 7 months if you count from when I got my first AF, and 4 months if you count from when I completely stopped breastfeeding (although by that time I was only down to one feeding a day anyway). I'm not ever sure how many months to count since most of that time I didn't have AF yet! Good luck!
we're on cycle 4 for #3 now and this was the same cycle we got pregnant for ds2, so we'll see how it turns out.
GL to you!
DD#1 took 1 month
DD#2 took 5 months of active trying. We had several months of excellent timing. The month we concieved we actually had sex 3 days before ovulation, so I thought that month was out.
DS #1 was an accident. It took us 4 months from when we stopped preventing to get pregnant with #2, but the first month we had sex everyday, I got pregnant.
I don't think I know when I ovulate
Anyway, good luck to you!
Ugh, yes.
DS was 1st cycle (not really trying)
#2 was 7 cycles. I charted cycles 5-7. I wasn't ovulating until day 19 or 20. I was way off.
Yep for us DD was conceived after 1 cycle. Here we are on cycle #3 as we try for baby #2.
In between we also had a surprise bfp while TTA which unfortunately ended in a chemical.
