AW: Jack is off of oxygen! (PIP)
Today we went to see Jack in the NICU, and were astounded to see his face without any tape on it! They took him off of oxygen today, and he is breathing 100% on his own. We were so excited that I'm pretty sure both of us started bawling immediately. He was wide awake, so reactive and great. We got to help hold him while they did his feeding (still through a tube), and then Daddy helped with the diaper change (ewww! Lol). We were both in a pretty terrible mood prior to visiting, but just seeing him so awake and content and cute made us feel so much better. I just absolutely cannot wait to get him home so we can love on him all the time.
Oh, and of course, I couldn't take pictures of him without tubes on his face and not share!

He's in the 6 pound range right now... But compared to your giant baby, he's pretty small. :P Lol

Hey, so happy that Jack is off oxygen...we just brought our son home from the Nicu...when you leave its amazing. It will be a distant memory soon enough I promise. Here is my only advice...don't look at his stats...cause its hard to not freak out when you get them home. I had the nurses turn the monitors so I couldn't see them...then I would learn my son by just looking at him. My husband is a tech guy and was glued to the monitors and he freaks out a lot easier than I do now a days.
Again so Happy Jack is off the tubes!!!
