Good afternoon my fellow Canadian mommies or mommies-to-be! I am having a very difficult time with the car seat issue. I have a baby jogger city mini stroller and it can only be used with certain car seats. Unfortunately the car seats in Canada that I have found aren't near as pretty or cheap compared to the ones I have found in the states...dang haha. Does anyone have a Britax Chaperone, Peg Perego Primo Viaggio, Graco Snugride, Maxi Cosi Mico?
I would really really appreciate your opinions on these seats, ie. are they heavy? Do they fit in your stroller? Does anyone have the city mini and use one of these? Also one last question, I have been looking at BRU and Sears but other than that Im in the dark as to where to find car seats, any ideas? Thanks so much for answering my million questions
Re: Mommies I need your advice- car seat related
I don't have your stroller, but we do have the Graco SafeSeat (now the Snugride 32). Friends of ours have the traditional Snugride, which isn't as heavy. I believe both of these are compatible with the City Mini.?We're very happy with the seat and have used it for both of our kids.
Walmart sells car seats, and you can also try checking out any local baby stores in your area. Sears and BRU have sales on baby items fairly frequently, so you might be able to find one for less than regular price.
We have the Snugride 32 - it came as part of a travel system with the stroller. I have no complaints about it - then again I don't know anything else!
Zellers also sells carseats, though they don't have as great a selection as Sears or BRU.

We used the traditional Snugride. It wasn't too heavy. We had no problems using it with our stroller.
We have the Graco Snugride and have really liked it. It is not too heavy at all. We are getting ready to move B to his convertible carseat soon.
We bought the Graco attachment for our stroller (Bugaboo Bee) but never used it. There really was no need for it ever. We just put him in the stroller and reclined it back a bit. He loves it in there!
We got our car seat at BRU as they had the best pricing on it.
I have seen carseats at Walmart, Zellers and speciality baby stores.
dearbornbaby.com has car seats. We just ordered the Snugride 32. We also have the city mini but we're not getting the attachment. We're just going to recline him back and see how that goes. I plan to use a sling mostly while he's tiny. But we'll see how he likes it
Also if anyone is interested boutiqueyourbaby.com has the city mini '10 and loads of other strollers for a great prices plus if you use coupon code MAITA, you get another 10% off.
