No soap/lotion on nipples?

I've read several places that you should not wash your nipples or apply lotion other than lanolin if needed. I've been paying attention in the shower and it's borderline impossible to keep soap, shampoo, etc off of them.  How strict are you about this? I'm assuming they mean don't scrub them like you do the rest of your body...right?

  • I don't soap my nipples or put lotion other than lanolin either.  But - if a little sud gets on my nipples while taking a shower - no big deal.

This. I don't make an effort to apply lotion to them, but if a little soap gets on them no biggy.

Yup!  I try to only put soap on my breast closest to my chest and I rinse is off immediately.

  • Thanks ladies, I couldn't imagine anyone could shower and not get suds on their nips.  :)
