FIL might be cheating WWYD??

So everyday (we live with our ILs) FIL leaves right after MIL goes to work(FIL doesn't have a job). Well he's gone from 11am till 2pm every single day, well that didn't matter till today. Dh asked to use his phone and was being nosy looking through his text messages and came across a message. He says it said "my love I need 80 bucks to pay some bills will you be able to bring me the money?" um the number wasn't even close to MIL's number. Plus she doesn't know how to text. Would you say something??

Personally I wouldn't say anything. If you feel something needs to be said, have DH do it. His parents. He saw the text.

But I'd stay out of it...

That's a hard position to be in though.

I don't think I'm ballsy enough to say something. Maybe your DH could pull him aside and ask wtf? I wouldn't tell MIL though.

I would strongly encourage DH to talk to his dad, but I probably wouldn't bring it up myself.

I'm all for helping out, but it is not for you (or dh) to bring up an obscure text message.

I'd stay out of that mess. If your DH wants to approach his dad about it, that's one thing, but as a DIL I would keep mum.

I wouldnt, I would leave that up to him. Plus, if your living there do you really want to burn any bridges? And even then your going to get the whole talk about why he was even looking through his fathers texts in the first place.

Tough situation and if he is cheating then that really sucks.
