Does anyone else get this reply when you tell someone whether you are having a boy or girl? "Well, you never know...I knew someone who thought they were having a girl and then they had a boy". So annoying. I realize that this does happen, but it used to happen a lot more than it does now days. I would guess it's a very small percentage of error these days.
Re: Raining on my parade
I had a cousin that was supposed to be a girl and ended up a boy. My u/s is VERY clear - it's a girl. But my aunt is not convinced. Oh well. We'll wait til she shows up and then the laugh will be on them I suppose.
I've had people tell me this, too: "You know, those can be wrong." Umm, yes, I know that there is a chance that our little girl is actually just a shy boy. But let's be honest--it is a very small chance.
People are annoying.

LOL!!!! I like that response.
Constantly. One girl at work, who also happens to be a belly-toucher-without-permission, is convinced I'm having a girl. My 20 wk ultrasound looked like he was sitting butt naked on a photocopier, so I showed it to her, and said 'see? BOY!' she looked and said 'No, I think that's the umbilical cord. I'm just sure you're having a girl!'
*headdesk*
Arghh...some people. My grandma actually, did the whole hemming and hawwing thing, "well...hmmm. maybe next time." What's with people. Just be glad the baby is here and you can plan for it! Sheesh.
I hate people like that. Stupid know-it-all's. Well you will have the last laugh when you deliver a beautiful baby boy!
