Mystic tanning vs. Tanning lotion

I am trying to figure out whether to go and do the spray on mystic tan, or find a good lotion that i can use that won't make my skin blotchy are streaky looking. I am hearing bad things about mystic tan... so if you have any good experiences with a rub on tanning lotion let me know.. I look white!! =)

  • i really like the mystic tan i think ive tried almost every lotion out there.... but i use the este lauder bronze goddess in between sprays and i use the mystic tan for the face lotion in the morning everday- it gives you a nice glow not a harsh orange tan hope this helps
  • One time I went to a salon and had a professional spray tan that lasted weeks! I never turned orange and it was great and natural looking.

  • I'm a fan of the Neutrogena and L'Oreal Sublime Bronze (they're both aerosol sprays).  They're both super easy and I've never turned orange or streaky from either.  If I had to pick one, it'd be the L'Oreal.  Although sometimes it's been called Sublime Glow and sometimes Sublime Bronze.  Good luck!
  • I use the gergens lotions. It gives you a natural tan gradually without being orange or streaky! I love it! and its smells good too :D

  • I have done the Mystic Tan and I liked it. It does shock you a bit the second that the mist first hits you, but the colour is nice. it can get pricey and doesn't last any longer than a tanning lotion, but it's all right...

  • I hate mystic tan. For me, it didn't work at all and you have to go back several times to get color. I've found rub on tanning lotions to just be too streaky. I would recommend the aerosol spray from Bath and Body works. It looks AMAZING, no streaks, no orange-y color. Try it!
  • I love Mystic; I'd do it every week but it is too expensive. I've been researching lotions and it seems like the hands down winner is Bare Minerals faux tan. Not the bronzer, but the lotion. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to. I love their makeup so we'll give it a try!
  • I just did the Mystic Tan for the first time last week, and it's already faded away. It even got blotchy and patchy as it started to wear off. Completely un-natural looking.     You aren't able to shower for like 4-6 hours after you get it done initially, but afterwards, the tan looks great right away.   Wish it lasted longer, and kept it's dollar value.   $40 for one time...  not worth it.   :(
