I am on the hunt for Aubrey's first Easter basket. I am trying to decide if I want to do a white wicker basket with a cute liner in it with her name monogrammed on it, and that way I can use the same basket each year. Or should I do a different basket each year? I am looking at Etsy and they have some cute options.
What kind of things should I put in it? She will be almost 6 months old at Easter. I found this really cute monogrammed sippy cup so I know that will go in it. I'll probably get her a cute board book. I have several stuffed bunnies already since her room is done in bunnies and lambs so I probably won't do that. What are some other ideas? What are ya'll putting in your LO's baskets?
Re: Easter Baskets
We got this one last year...and I only put eggs in it to take to the family egg hunt.

I like this one they have this year though:

This year I am getting her the Baby Alive first baby and some little things. She got a million books from my mom for her birthday, so I am not getting her any more for now. I also picked up this little stuffed Hello Kitty sitting in an egg at Target yesterday. They always have the best stuff to put in baskets and stockings.
I definately think you should get a basket you can use every year.
This may sound crazy, but I still get an easter basket (DH and I get a combo basket) and I still get it in the one I got for my first Easter. It means a lot to me.
We got a basket with his name painted on one side and animals on the other that we use in his room, and it will double as his Easter basket. I tried searching for one like it but no luck. I would buy a basket she could use year after year.
ETA: This is what is going in his basket:
Chuck mini Tonka trucks
Books
Ball
Foam bath letters
Snacks
Bible
A lot of the kids I know in Tuscaloosa have the same kind of personalized baskets. I'm thinking about getting DD one of these, something she can use every year from here on out:
natural m/c and d&c at 10 weeks - 1/24/2014
DX w/ hetero C677t and A1298C MTHFR - 3/4/2014
I love easter baskets!
At lunch I got a sweet little stuffed lamb for Abby's basket. I'm also going to put a book and a bath toy in it.
We normally get a new one every year. I try not to spend too much on the basket.
For Lyla's I am getting: Disney DVD, baby doll, a book, and a little candy.
For Taylor's I am getting: Flip flops, DS game, magazine, and a little candy.
I used to load up Taylor's basket with candy and junk. This year we are trying to steer clear of that and buy real stuff that they might use.

Lindsey...is it just me or is this age Taylor and Nate (and Hayley) are at tough?! I'm so sad he is growing up. I was looking at Easter stuff today and all of the cute stuff I used to get him just doesn't cut it anymore.

.....maybe it's just me though..lol. I've been kinda emotional about it lately. Seems like yesterday I was buying elmo underwear and now its deodorant and men's size shoes.

CUTE CUTE CUTE list!
The Baby Blog.
There is a store here that sells hand painted baskets. I'm going to check those out this weekend. I'm trying to find one that will last for a few years.
I know I want a stuffed rabbit, maybe some soft blocks or other toy. I was thinking I would like a kids book about the true meaning of Easter, but I don't know how you would explain nailing people to crosses and coming back from the dead in a baby book.
FYI: I got my BFP on Good Friday so Easter is the new Christmas in our house. We're going all out.
