This is so awesome!  At least something good came from that horrible church coming to visit Richmond.

    those people are vile and disgusting.  they need to be banned from life.  urg.  but at least something completely positive came out of it - way to be counterproductive SCUM BAGS!

    Uh, my skin crawls every time I see them in the news.  They are absolutely disgusting.  I will never forget seeing photos of them protesting at military funerals. Who does that to a family?! My dad was killed in a military training accident at the same time they started these protests and my heart just broke for the families that had to deal with this.  We were so fortunate we didn't... still, I'm so glad to see something positive come out of this.  They are just revolting.

    i don't know much about this group but i'm assuming they are "christians".  did they like totally miss that whole jesus is compassionate thing?  i seriously wonder about the IQ of these people.

    There's a really interesting documentary on the westboro baptist group on youtube. 

    I still hate them with a burning, fiery passion and I'm happy that they generated donations for worthy groups.

    However, I could hardly read some of the comments at the bottom of that article.  Disgusting.

    They say they are... they are infamous for their signs that read, "God Hates (fill in the blank here with any group they disagree with: soldiers, homosexuals, you name it)."

    Really?  God HATES them?  I'm so sure he asked you to communicate that for Him on a crappy cardboard sign at funerals and churches.  Nice.  Real nice. 

     They must just skip over the compassion part... have to justify their own nastiness, I guess.
