glucose test..

Soo... had my glucose test and everything went great, I did find out I'm anemic but I can Def. deal with that Big Smile

    Good news! Mostly :) Did you call and find out or did they call you? I have to go to my office on monday anyway but I've been dying to know since my test was kind of messed up..

    i have my glucose test in a week or so, what all does that entail? I know you drink a sugar drink and stay for an hour but what do they do then? Take blood or pee in a cup?

    The day I took it they didn't call because they do other blood work and want to have everything back, but they did call me the next day.  They said they would have called if there was only a problem, but since the glucose test came back good, and my anemia test came back bad thats the only reason they called.

    For mine: I had to fast past midnight went in they took my blood and gave me a drink that tasted like orange kool aid (dunno what gross thing some women talk about I kinda liked it) stay for an hour and have blood taken again.. Mine was taken late because the place was understaffed and she didnt tell me all the directions (apparently I had to go and remind them to take my blood rather than being called) so I'd say after you drink mark your time and remind them 5 minutes prior :) then you are free to go..Some dont draw blood before either..talk with yer dr..

     

    ETA: Thank you for the question answer! I'm hoping the no call is a good thing then I Was really afraid I'd have to take the test again..so I'll find out soon but probably not if they havent called :)

    At my last docters appointment they gave me the stuff you have to drink, tastes like really sweet flat soda (eww), and then  scheduled the appt to come in for the test. The day you drink it you have to fast for a few hours, drink the stuff, and then have a blood test exactly 1 hour after you finish it to get the best results, I drank mine at work and then ran there for the blood test. Much better then having to sit there for an hour. Smile good luck with yours!
