How old do you look?

I've noticed that some strangers give me funny looks when they see that I'm pregnant and I can only assume it's because I look younger than I am. I am nearly 28 but I'm told I look 18.

So it got me wondering... How old do you all look? How old are you? And have you experienced anything like this personally?

I've been told I look as young as 17. I am 24. Both of my parents look much younger than they are so it runs in the family. I'll appreciate it later, but right now it seems to be a bad thing.

I got carded to get into a rated R movie over Christmas and I'm 25. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until I get odd stares from strangers.

People younger than me can't believe I'm 30. People that are closer to my age think I look my age. Kind of funny how that works.

I think I look my age. Every now and then, an old lady will think I'm 16...or a teenager will think I'm in my 30's but I think that's just perception being skewed.

I'm 24 and get told I look anywhere from 16-18... Both my parents look very young, especially my dad who I resemble more... I know it will be great when I'm 50, but to be 24 and have people tell you that you barely look old enough to drive can get annoying...

I'm 30 but everyone thinks I'm early 20's. As a young dentist, I surprise a lot of patients when I walk in the room and tell them I'm the doctor -they usually assume I am the assistant before I introduce myself:)

I always get the, "will you graduate before the baby comes?" Normally get those when I don't wear my rings, which isn't often, but it never fails. I'm 21, I graduated 4 years ago! Hahahaha but I do get looks at the mall and places like that, makes me feel bad.

This may bite me later, but I've always looked older (mostly because of my height I think, I've always been a tall girl!). I think maybe I've caught up to myself now...I'm 25 but most people still think I'm later 20's, early 30's. When I was in highschool I could go to the beer store at 16!

I'm 29 and look young. When I think that's what people are thinking I usually flash the rings! I get carded without fail when I go into liquor stores (in case you are wondering, wine for recipes!) and usually get a hmm kind of a shrug when they look at my ID.

This happens to me all the time...the funny looks that is. I work on a univerity campus, so you should see the dirty looks that I get from students. LOL, it really just cracks me up! I love being a rebel!

I've been told I look 18, but no more than 20. I get carded all the time (or at least I did before, LOL). I'm really 28 and will turn 29 about a month after baby is here.

When the looks fly I turn up the waddle and stick out the bump, 'cause I'm quite proud that I'm pregnant! Big Smile

I TOTALLY understand! I get dirty looks ALL the time! I am 26 and I've been carded by 19 yr olds at movies that are rated 18A... It's sad!

I was always told I look older..well depending on what I wore etc..however I recently got bangs and first thing SO said when I walked in the house was that I looked 12 so I can only imagine.. As I posted below my first stranger comment asked me if I was pregnant then right away how old I was :

Everyone says I act way older than I am but look about 16 or 17. When we were in MX the bartender told DH I was just a baby and gave him a nasty look and it didnt help when I didnt order a drink the whole time haha. I am 23.

I get these looks all the freaking time. It drives me crazy. It generally starts with a bump stare, then left finger stare, then stare at me again, then back at bump.

I'm 22 but I've gotten as young as "16" when people guess.

I'm 30 (almost 31) but most people guess I'm in my mid-20s. SO is 25 & when we go out or are buying alcohol/tobacco, I get carded & he doesn't.

When I was 22 I got carded while walking into the Mall of America. You had to be over 16 to be there without a parent/guardian after 9pm.

I got carded in December for an R-rated movie, and yet my DH didn't. WTH?? lol. I looked at the guy and I go 'really? I'm 23 years old, do you really think I'm not 17 yet? I'm pregnant and married dude."

He asked for my ID again. *sigh*...

I haven't noticed anything since I got pg but I'm 29 and I've been told too many times to count that I don't even look 18. On one hand it bothers me because I want to loook mature and not like a teenager but on the other hand at 40 maybe I'll look 28! Wink

I'm 23, yesterday I was told I look maybe 18. Then I went to my brother's high school to get him out one day and went to the office, they thought I was still a student. So I guess 18 lol.

When I was 14, I looked 18. But I think I haven't aged much since 18. I'm 28 and when I would go to the liquor store I would get carded with the "Do you have an ID, young lady?". LOL!

I'll be sad when they don't card me anymore...

Oooo October!?! Please tell me your due date is the 28th No one ever has my bday. DH is actually 21 and so technically I'M robbing the cradle, but since people think he is 26 minimum, he LOOKS like he is robbing the cradle. Classic.

I'm 25 and look no older than 20. I work at a university and my DH is a law student here so we both work out at the university gym. Well now that you can tell I'm pregnant in a t-shirt I get stares from the college kids like omg that girl is pregnant! Did I mention I work at a big Catholic University? Yeah so the stares happen pretty much every day. I just want to yell yes, I'm pregnant, married and have been for 4 years and am 25 years old...stop looking!

I'm 25 and I have gotten some strange looks already, I notice that people that give me the side eye tend to look at my hand to check if I have wedding rings or not.

I went to visit my mom at work one day last week and a woman that she works with thought I was my younger sister (who's 18 but looks 15) and was asking me all these strange questions until I realized why she was asking and I set her straight... haha... oh well.

No worries, I look young too! I have been told 17-18. I'm really 27. It gets frustrating and I am not looking forward to the dirty looks I know I will get. I will just keep flashing my wedding rings!!!

I was talking to my g/f this weekend about this. I'm 27, and I just now have started to feel like I look my age. People used to guess a few years younger than I was.

Ha, when I was 20, I got a lecture from a customer about having a 2 year old since I was only 16. She didn't believe me when I told her how old I was.

i'm 28 but look quite a bit younger. well...i think i'm starting to look more my age but last year the cable guy came to MY house (that I own with my husband) and asked me if my parents were home. and when i met my husband's friends the first time they asked if i was even 18. and when i took my much younger brother to the dentist a few years ago (i think i was 23 or so) they asked him if i was old enough to drive. but i don't think i've gotten any strange looks about my belly yet. that i know of at least. probably cause my coat still hides it when i'm out in public.

I am 24 years old and my BF is 26 Years old. I am American and he is Indian (from India). Americans I dont see many faces turn (you cant really tell right now with me anyways) but ALL of the Indian's he tells HATE it. I feel soooo bad because we werent tryin to have a child. But the BF and me are excited and glad we have a healthy little girl!

i'm 29, but people generally guess 22-25. occaisionally, people mistake me for a student at the high school where i work. i've definitely gotten a few "looks" over the pregnancy. mainly when i was trying on bridesmaid dresses for my friend's wedding at david's bridal.

My mom and I just went out to eat at Applebee's a few weeks ago and the only booths open were in the bar area. The girl was like, "Um, is she 18?" I'm 22 but look way younger.

I am told that this will be a blessing when I get older!

I'm 31 and everyone and their mother says I look so young. They never say how young though. By the shock in their voices I'm assuming they think I look high school age. I have the satisfaction of seeing that the women that usually say this to me are my age and I thought they were in their late 30's, early 40's!

I'll be 30 in June and I've been told I look like I'm 15-16. I actually got stopped by a mall cop and asked for my ID last year. You have to be 16 to be at the mall without a parent.

When dh & I were in mexico people were constantly asking me how old I was after asking me when I was due...which I thought was semi rude. The average guess was 15-18.....I'm 25.

I can pass for 16/17, but look a little older now that I've cut my hair.

I just got back from the States and got carded every time I tried buying or seeing an R-rated movie. Lol. I also got some mean looks by old ladies when they passed me. Probably doesn't help that my wedding ring doesn't fit anymore and I look like a pregnant 17 year old.
