I finally decided on a car. I think I settled on the Toyota Venza! I went car shopping last weekend and I test drove a whole bunch of cars, including the Venza, the Chevy Equinox, the Mazda CR-7 and the Ford Edge, but I liked the Venza the best. It has this wood paneled interior that's really pretty and a sunroof, which I looove! And it's nice and roomy with a huge trunk. I think I might actually purchase it too. It's a long term kind of vehicle, and despite all the problems Toyota has been having lately, their cars really do last forever.
Work I'm not even going to talk about because it's not good. I'm not a happy camper and I can't wait for summer break.
L went for her 18 month check up yesterday. She's in the 50th percentile for height and weight (which she has been forever). Her verbal ability really impressed the doctor - she's speaking on a 24-36 month level. She's singing songs, putting together 2,3,4 word phrases, knows her colors, and shapes.... we are pretty amazed. She's the best part of my day.
The other day I asked her for a hug and she nuzzled into me and then puckered up and asked for a kiss. We always ask for hugs and kisses together and wanted to make sure I got both. She is such an affectionate child.
The nausea is coming back, so I'm trying to just get through the next couple of hours. I have a student in my office that I was going to work with, but I put her on an online reading program instead. I think I'm going to ask to leave early at 12:30 since I have the doc appointment anyway.
Other than that, the tile is being installed in the house and should be done by next week. After that it's just cleaning and painting and we move in. The other projects will have to get taken care of little by little. I also need to do some car shopping soon since my lease is up in May. We're also listing our condo for sale this weekend, so wish us luck in that department!

Rach, your fb status updates have been breaking my heart. You're in my T&P, I really hope your job situation works itself out.
Thanks.... I've never experienced anything like this. I shouldn't have to shed so many tears over a job. Yesterday was a bad one. I just keep telling myself that I love being a teacher and that next year I'll get a new set of kids that I can start fresh with. I hate being such a downer....totally not my personality. It's just time to make weekends extra special to make up for it.
I thought of another one for this post since I posted in the other one already
Jake has his 15 month appointment in 2 weeks (even though he'll be 16 1/2 months by then) and I'm really curious to hear what she is going to say about Jake still being non verbal. I fear speech therapy is in our future
- I'm almost done redecorating our house. The painting is all complete and it looks fabulous. The only thing left now is to install the wood floors in Mikey's new room and install the new blinds in there and I'll be ready to go back home.
- I sold both of our old cars last week AND bought myself a new car. I know Gary would have been totally proud of the way I haggled. I got a GREAT deal too!
- Still in modification HELL. Seems like very week Chase wants new docs sent their way. No wonder most people I know don't get approved, its a very frustrating process.
- Mikey is talking up a storm now. I really wish Gary would have been around to hear some of the things he can say now. My favorite is when out of nowhere he turns to me and goes "I wuv you mommy". He's also VERY artistic, just like daddy, he loves to draw and his teachers are very impressed by it. They've told me that the other kids in his class are drawing circles and lines and here he is trying to draw doors with full on doorknobs, angry faces, and little people with clothes! He continues to amaze me every day. I'm so lucky to have him to live for.

I've felt that way before. I actually left a school and went to another one and that's where I started to feel better and even if I had a tough class admin was much more supportive. Hang in there!
I'm not in love w/ my job, but I can't complain about it. And the boss is great (refer to blog post about telling him about IVF).
Dh and I are now contemplating the terrace. We really want to do it, but w/ the medical expenses, we need to slow down! We are also considering the possiblity of selling our house, and buying another one that is 100% complete. It is a long shot to find something not needing work and fitting into our price range. We recently found out that we can't build out on the house anymore due to coding. Our plans were do build a huge master suite (we have space, but ordinance doens't allow) once the kids arrive, but looks like we are stuck w/ the 3 bedroom, which may end up being too small for us in the future... so why spend even more money on the house now!
In TTC news front, as I've mentioned in my blog, I'm responding well to the medicines. The egg retrieval should be sometimes this weekend (maybe Sunday or Monday), and the transfer 5 days after that (so possibly the folliwng Friday or Saturday). I'm starting to feel a bit uncomfortable due to bloat and soreness of ovaries (over producing), but nothing I can't handle! LOL

Eli- Aren't you glad you're done making a car decision? I always dread doing that b/c you're committed to the car for the next 3 to 5 yrs.
The only thing new with me...or Isabella, is that she's starting SOLIDS!!! WOOOHOOO!!! I'm super excited for her. We started on the weekend. And she is LOVING them. So now I'm going to be making her food, any recommendations?

Eli - I have a wonderful lady that is a doll and can get you an excellent deal with toyota's. She's the only sales lady I have ever dealt with. Trust me she can work out some deals. Let me know if anything. Only catch is that she is in the Hollywood dealership.
I went to the NACA convention from Sun 11am and left Monday at 10pm. Crazy huh! Well at least our loan modification is in process. Very excited about that.

Okay, so I am almost 11 weeks pregnant and feeling good. I am waiting for my energy to come back. Things are really good with DH, Sophie and I. Our little (growing) family makes me feel very blessed. I am excited about the NT scan next week. My sister has one the day before. Its pretty cool to be going through all this at the same exact time.
Sophie has been doing pretty well with the potty training. When we are home she is in panties. She did GREAT all day yesterday while I was home with her except for one part when I was on the phone with my boss. Sophie, apparently, got annoyed that I kept telling her to be quiet for a minute so mommy could talk. She channeled my cats....stood in front of me, opened her little legs, and peed a puddle on my carpet followed by, "Uh oh, mommy, look what I did." Little... Grrrr. I reacted well, trying not to make a big deal about it while also being firm about where pee-pee goes...and where it doesn't go. Little.... She is just so frickin sassy.
Other than that, Abel and I have plans at Mortons on our anniversary. He really wants to stick with that restaurant and so I am letting him. He is the picky eater here...not me. He wants the onion bread. LOL. My MIL is keeping Sophie over night for the first time so DH and I can have an evening to ourselves...and actually get to sleep in a little the next morning.

Cynthia, yessss I am soooo relieved that we finally picked a car! As much as I loathe car shopping, I am kind of looking forward to going back and negotiating now because I'm excited about what I'm getting. I can't wait to have a sun roof, lol.
And Rieces (I know I am butchering your name - sorry!), thanks so much for recommending ithe Venza! I had never even heard of it before you mentioned it and when I finally went to go look at it, it was the nicest of all the cars I had been considering. Thanks!!
I guess I should read the posts before I post. I just gave an update but created a new post. Oh well. I am finally feeling better, thank God. Turned out to be food poisoning. My little guy has a cold again, so hopefully he gets better and doesn't end up admitted again. That was not fun! I am still looking for a job, lots of fun. I just found out I'm going to Puerto Rico next month and I can't wait. As far as Joshua goes he's finally starting to say a few words. His latest is Go. I will be walking through a store with him and he yells at everyone that walks by GOOO and he points. lol I've been worried because he hasn't really been talking but he does so Go, mama and dada. So hopefully he starts talking a little more.
I'm going to be 9 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I can't believe it, seems like just yesterday I got my bfp. I've been feeling pretty sh!tty all the time. I had a couple days there where I actually felt good and it made me nervous!! But, it didn't last long. So far, this pregnancy is exactly like my first. I haven't gained too much weight b/c I don't feel like eating anything, ever. I'm actually less hungry than before I was pregnant. Sucks, since I have the perfect excuse to eat crap!! Also, I am HUGE. I'm in maternity pants now pretty much all the time, except when I'm wearing yoga pants which is what I wish I could wear at all times!
Alexis is growing and is such a big girl. At her 2 year appt she was 28lbs and 35 inches, 75% for both, so she is definitely tall!! And she is talking so much more now and its just so cute. She has such a personality, I can already foresee the teenage years and how we will butt heads constantly.
Marc and I have decided to go to Vegas for a "babymoon". We haven't been since we went for his 30 birthday, almost 5 years ago. And I really want to see the Beatles Love show, so it'll be April sometime. That's about it for me

Eli reminded me - MH finally realized we need a bigger car. The Sunday before Ben was born - we traded my car for a Honda Odyssey! I'm in love with, yes, a mini-van. We got it just in time - B was born that Wednesday!
Can you tell what type of personality your kid will have at 1 month? If so, then B is going to be very --- assertive. He demands silence when sleeping. If I as so much, breathe too loudly, he will "growl" at me. It's hilarious!
Chelsea is soo loud! A couple of months ago - I was concerned that she would be picked on and not stick up for herself...sooo much has changed. The other day, Eli took one of her toys as she was playing with it...she immediately screamed, "NO!", chased him, and plopped him on the head. ONe second later she patted him where she hit him as if to say, "I'm sorry". MH and I witnessed the whole thing and just laughed!
Eli is such a good boy (except when it's dinner time, argh). I am really enjoying our little conversations. He is enrolled in soccer camp and is doing great! I recently enrolled him in VPK just waiting for May to hear back from the school (they do a lottery). I can't believe he will be turning five..time really does fly!
And as for me, well, I'm enjoying being a temporary SAHM.
I am officially an expecting model!!! I signed with the agency last week! I just hope I get lots of calls for castings so I can make money!
Also, DS and I are doing better. We both had a stomach virus (it landed me in the hospital) and we are just starting to feel better. The only good thing is that I got to see my baby via ultrasound at the hospital and He/she is doing fine (HB is great!).
After nearly TWO YEARS, we are almost done with teething!!!! Hooray!! Nicky is finally getting his 2nd year molars. One is completely out, another has broken the surface and I am hoping the other two will follow shortly. Dear Lord, maybe he will start STTN again when they are all done?!?! Is that too much for a tired mother to ask?!?! LOL.
Jackie - As for NACA, I basically went through orientation, personal counseling, budget planning, credit check and scanned in numerous paper work. Now our packet has been filed and waiting for our lender to provide a better % and mortgage package. Since rates have dropped, we may look at anything around a 2% drop from where we currently are. If our bank is not willing to modify the loan, our file is currently issued to all other banks to put together their best offers to take over our current loan. Basically its all in our hands to pick and choose. Puts the pressure on our bank to keep us as paying customers. NACA will fight for you, if you don't hear from your bank on time. There is absolutely no charge and will remain at a 30 yr fixed rate. So either your loan stays the same or you get better offers. Still you can't lose. My SIL, MIL/FIL and DH's cousin all had their packages work out incredibly.

Me, the hubby and baby are all doing great. We just finished remodeling our master bedroom and bathroom and it came out awesome! It looks and feels like a spa...ahhh, relaxation! Juju is huge and doing wonderfully. He'll be 14 months on friday, about 22 lbs. He is a great eater, he refuses his puree's so I just give him table food and he chows it down. He is so funny too, every day is something new with him. I think he has both our personalities, but definitely is a ham like his father. He's walking all ove the place, talks a few words (trys to sing happy birthday, lol), he gets into EVERYTHING! I am just so blessed to have such an amazing little boy!
As for me, I recently posted I need good vibes for something. Well, it was work related. I'm am not happy with my job...I love the people and the work is good, but I hate the hours and I hate the way I am treated sometimes. I hate having to work weekends, and another its only once a month, I get so depressed knowing that the only 2 days I have to be with DH and the baby I am stuck at work I applied for another position, went on the interview (which was awesome) but was not convinced it was the right move for me. I would be working in the Operating Room, which sounds super exciting..but the hours were not so great and it just seemed like ALOT of work and responsibility. I was offered the job but ended up turning it down Sooo, there is another position open that I am applying for. My manager is really pushing for me to get this job (I am assuming she has some influence on who gets it)...It's a mon-fri job but no weekends so it works out for me. Hopefully, if all goes well in a few months or so this job will be mine. *fingers crossed again*

Good luck! I hope you get a new position with better hours. You don't work 3 12s now? I did that at the hospital.. I liked the days off but the 3 12 hour shifts were brutal
It's nice to hear all of your updates! Yay for new cars, new jobs, smart toddlers, solid-eating babies, and pregnancies developing nicely, etc!
It's been a rough few weeks for us. Evan spiked his first fever ever 3 weeks ago; ended up having an ear infection which got better; then another high fever 10 days later; got a rash with more fevers then got better; and now started with a cough and runny nose this week and a new fever today. We ended up in the ER last Friday since pedi said to take him over and seems everything has been viral so far but still nerve-wrecking! Thankfully, he has been a champ and has been super active and eating pretty well through it all!
Pregnancy-wise I can't complain! Barely any nausea and finally I have not gotten sick again or had asthma(knock on wood). We have our anatomical ultrasound on the 16th; same day as I am leaving to Vegas for a conference and the first part of my licensing boards! And just studying away for these boards while doing my residency! Wheew, I am exhausted but it should calm down slightly when I finish the written part of boards in mid-April. Then to get everything ready for baby, finishing residency, and starting my new job as a doc...ok, maybe not much calming down but at least it will be a little more fun!

That's about it for me
Love reading all the updates!!
The Beatles Love show is AMAZING, you'll love it!:)
Ditto! Loved the show. It was our first Cirque show, and we were def impressed.

LOL.
Thank you Sam, best of luck to you as well.
Thanks for the info! Going to look into this for sure.

Hi everyone,
Me, the hubby and baby are all doing great.
I hate having to work weekends, and another its only once a month, I get so depressed knowing that the only 2 days I have to be with DH and the baby I am stuck at work
I applied for another position, went on the interview (which was awesome) but was not convinced it was the right move for me. I would be working in the Operating Room, which sounds super exciting..but the hours were not so great and it just seemed like ALOT of work and responsibility. I was offered the job but ended up turning it down
Sooo, there is another position open that I am applying for.
