Alabama Babies

:Monica:

I just now saw your reply to my post and I was afraid it was too far down the page and you wouldn't see my answers to your questions.

My hostess did all the prepare work ahead of time...she baked the ribbon and all and had a huge pile of them...we did use needle and thread and she used a lighter on the ends when preparing them to keep them from fraying.  She showed us how to do it, and also had the directions printed out, but some people used more or less on the amounts of korker ribbon they put on a particular bow.  So the ones that don't have as many turned out smaller, they are still cute, but I use them now while she is still little and I am saving the fuller, larger ones for when she is older.  Does that make sense?

  • Yes, thank you!  The girl I'm hosting with also loved the idea so I think we are gonna do it!  I like the idea of having small ones too b/c it seems like the larger ones would look funny on a small baby!  We will definitely have to cook the ribbon in advance like you said.  Thanks so much for this suggestion!
