Okay, so, I'm new here. My name is Ayo and I'm 34. I am a little over 7 weeks with my/our first. This past weekend, I started bleeding heavily with "tissue" mixed in (I know--possible TMI). I had a sonogram yesterday and there was a heartbeat (THANK GOD!!!). But, I'm still worried...will this happen again? Is it potentially harmful for the baby? I only saw the tech yesterday, and won't see my doc for two weeks. Has anyone else had this?
Re: Bleeding with "tissue"...
I just had this last week. I sent in the tissue for testing, still waiting to hear back if it was a twin or just a blood clot. I saw the tech and the doctor. I was so happy to see the baby's heartbeat. However, I started spotting again this week...no tissue this time though. I'm currently on bed rest.
If you start bleeding again, definately call the doctor and see if they could work you in sooner than 2 weeks.
Good luck!
