Re: Where will your newborn sleep? (clicky)

  • the little guy's room is literally right across the hall from our room- about 10 steps from my bed to his crib, so we are going to try to start him out in there from the beginning.

  • We would love for her to start out in her crib and stay there, but we'll have a moses basket on a rocker in our room or wherever i'm napping in the event that sleeping in her room doesn't work out so good!

This. FIL made us a gorgeous cradle that LO will be in for the beginning.

  • Our LO's room is directly across the hall.  There is only a closet separating us, so DH and I wanted to have the LO sleeping in her room from the beginning.  We have gotten so much flack from family members about LO not sleeping in our room.  There is no chance she will be sleeping in our bed, but I think we might try a bassinette (sp?) for a bit.  After a month or so though, it's off to her own room.
  • Baby will start in the co-sleeper, then move to our bed.  It's what works best for us!

  • the nursery is downstairs while our room is upstairs so ds will be in our room in a bassinet for the foreseeable future. Once he outgrows the bassinet if I'm not ready to move him to his room it will be in the pnp in our room.

  • P n P in our room. Eventually he will be moved to his crib on his own room (where he will take naps from the beginning too)

  • LO's nursery is the room nest to ours so he will start in his crib.  We have a monitor but I doubt we will even need that to hear him.

  • cradle in our room.
  • We were going to use a PnP until I read all those posts about it not being safe for sleeping.  Now I am freaked out about it and we are going to buy a bassinet this weekend.
  • Until we move, PNP bassinet. After we move, their crib.
