Our son, Easton David, arrived last Tuesday after a successful and fast delivery. He is just the most precious baby and is proving to be a very good boy so far. Breastfeeding has been a big challenge, but after help from my mom and a visit to the lactation consultant we are back on track. Please get some help with this ladies if you're having trouble - I feel so much more confidant now. And get your DH involved, mine has been wonderful and it has helped him bond with the baby. BF It is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but don't give up!
Here's our short birth story:
I was induced around 7:30am - water broken and given pitocin. I had already been having contractions consistently for 3 days and was 1CM dialated. By 11am I got my epidural (absolutely amazing and not painful compared to my contractions). They checked me and I was 3CM and 90% effaced. I was checked again at 2pm and I was 10CM and 100% - time to push! No one thought I was going to move so quickly, so there was some scrambling to get my doc to the hospital in time (office is across the street). But, after only about 25 minutes of pushing, Easton made his debut! He weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20.75 inches long. The entire delivery was a whirlwind, but I'm so glad that he is here. We are truly blessed and I can't imagine my life without him already.
Here are some pics of our little man - see you ladies on 0-3! Hang in there - you're almost to the finish line!
