I am looking for a stroller to replace my Graco snap n go. I already have a jogger-typer stroller, I just want one that is good for indoor places. I have looked at Maclarens but I also saw Zoopers at costco.com and was wondering if anyone had opinions on either of those brands? If you have a Maclaren did you go for the more expensive Quest type or the Volo?
Thanks
Re: New stroller
I love the City Mini and almost got that instead of the jogging stroller that I did. Do you think it is too big to take into stores and places like that? That is what I am trying to do. I also like the umbrella fold of the Maclarens, right now it seems that the entire back of my car is full of stroller.
If you get a new stroller now, you'll need to get something that reclines. If you wait until your baby is sitting up, you can get something like the Volo or the UppaBaby G-Lite that doesn't recline. We have the G-Lite and really like it. I like the method of folding on the G-Lite better than on the Maclarens. If you want a stroller that reclines, the UppaBaby G-Luxe might be a good option.
I totally hear you on the trunk being full of stroller. We love our Chicco Cortina for walks around our neighborhood, but I like having an umbrella stroller for times when I want to fit shopping bags and a stroller into my trunk.
As a PP said, at this age, the Volo is not an option since it doesn't recline--you really can't use that kind of stroller until LO is 6 months/sitting up. That said, when you are ready to use that kind of stroller, I am a HUGE fan of the Maclaren Volo--yes, it is pricey for an umbrella stroller, but I think the quality and light weight of the stroller makes up for that and I like the way it folds. Honestly it is pretty much the only stroller we have used since DD was 7 months old and it is still in great shape. Also, I don't know how tall you and your DH are, but that was another selling point for us--the handles are higher than your average umbrella stroller, making it more comfortable to push.
I realize this doesn't help you at the moment, but things to think about for what you might get in the future in terms of umbrella strollers.
