I know I shouldn't worry- but I am 28 weeks and I have gained approximately 25 lbs... i was a healthy weight and size before. I need to know I am not alone! how much did others gain at this point?
I was probably around that by that point. Since then, I've gained less than five lbs, but I gained a bunch in my mid-late 2nd tri.
FWIW, I put on about as much with DD1, docs never complained, and I lost it all within a few months, with no dieting, minimal exercise, and just BFing...
I was about the same around the same time. I was a healthy weight before and had never really gained weight so looking at the scale go up to numbers I had never seen before was scary for me. I'm now full term and have gaind about 35lbs. who knows that could be 40 by the time I'm done but I feel great about it. You have peaks and valleys of weight gain. The worst thing you can do is say ok if I'm gaining a lb a week and I have x weeks left I'm going to weigh this much by the end. I will tell you that after about 34 weeks I just didn't worry about it any more. I would say my eating habits are good, not great or perfect but I manage my cravings well and it hasn't really mattered one way or the other. a week a I cheat alot vs eat well, I seem to gain the same. I know its hard but I promise you stop caring at some point and realize you'll lose it after.
I'm about the same and I'm starting to not care anymore. I remember when I was pg with my dd, there was a point where I was done worrying about it. I had hoped I wouldn't get to that point with this one but with two months left, I'm just looking forward to getting rid of this belly and the hormones and getting my body back.
I gained that much and I was a healthy weight before. I attributed it to the holiday weight gain that I would've normally been able to diet off--and my baby is measuring big. Most people say I still look small for how far along I am. Some people just carry differently. My mom was really skinny and gained 50 pounds each pg, and lost it really quickly.
I had gained about 18-19 lbs at 28 weeks. Remember LO can have growth spurts. I have had some weeks where I gained 4-5 lbs in 1-2 weeks and then other weeks where I gained 1 lb a week. It should even out at the end. Try not to stress if your doctor isn't worried.
I've gained 18lbs as of last week (30 weeks). I was very overweight to start, but haven't really watched what I've eaten (and I've had such a sweet tooth during this pregnancy), so I don't know how it's not more. I have a feeling it's going to catch up to me in the next 9 weeks.

so maybe the end of the second trimester/beginning of the third is a time of growth. i am hoping things slow after this... i am okay with 25lbs... but I don't want to end up gaining more than 35 before this is all over.
WOW! I feel like a chunker! Prepregnancy I was a lean 115 lbs at 5'9". Now I weigh in at 185! I gained 70lbs during this pregnancy. Thankfully I'm almost done. I'm halfway thru week 39!
I'm up 31 lbs at 37 weeks and my weight gain has NOT slowed down. I was gaining almost exactly 1 lb a week until about 34 weeks... then started gaining 2 a week.
I was up 27lbs at my 33wk appt. I go back next week and am hoping that my weight gain is starting to level off. I was only hoping to gain 25-30lbs total - looks like I have pushed that number up to 30-35lbs. Hopefully no more than that!
I have gained alot! I am 34 weeks and gained already 45 pounds!! I am 5'4" and I weighed 125 before I was pregnant.
Thank you!!!! I always hate these posts because I am not in the average range. About 5'3, started at about 127 and have put on about 47 lbs to go with about 3 more weeks. EEK!!! Oh well Im growing a little human
At 28 weeks I had gained about 26 pounds. At my current weight, I have gained 39 pounds. My weight gain has slowed down these last few weeks. So don't worry yourself too much.
I'm 28 weeks tomorrow and up 22 pounds! Everything was going great until my appointment yesterday - I gained nine pounds in the last MONTH. Which is strange, because I've actually had quite the decrease in appetite the past couple of weeks. My doctor said it could be water weight. Anyway... I'll be paying more attention to what I eat and trying to sneak in some more exercise.
Meh. Unless you get too crazy, it doesn't hurt LO. It's you who has to work it off after you deliver. All of our bodies are different. Someone who only gained 15 lbs may never be able to lose it and someone who gained 50 may get back to their pre-pg weight in a year or less.
I was up 21 pounds at almost 29 weeks and my doctor just told me to watch what I eat and to stay away from fatty foods. Hearing everyone else's weight gain definitely makes me feel better - seems like I am right on track!
Don't feel bad - I gained at least that much at 28 weeks. I'm 40 weeks now and have gained about 45 pounds total. Oh well! I'm tall and the weight has distributed well, so people don't believe I've actually gained that much.
I have gained 28 and I'm 31 weeks..... I'm hoping to gain 35 total, we will see. With my first I gained 46 total but in the last 5 weeks I didn't gain any, I may have even lost a couple pounds at the end.... I lost all of that in 4 1/2 months, don't worry too much!
Well, the last time I weighed (sunday) I was up 15.5lbs. Then I weighed yesterday at work (thats the scale I use since we don't own one) and I was up 20!!!!! I don't know where I packed on 5lbs in 2 days but yowza. I go into work tonight for a baby 4hr shift so I'm going to see if Im still up 20 or if I just had a bunch of water weight!
So, as of last weigh-in I'm up 20lbs at 27 weeks.

I was up 13 at 27wks. HOWEVER my BMI was right on the overweight cut off and have been advised to aim for 20-25 total this time. Who knows if I'll make it will half of it already "spent" on the "easy" months!! lol
With DD I gained 35lbs. I was fresh off my honeymoon and lookin' pretty darn good in my 140lb 5"8 body if I do say so myself so that was a lot of gain for me. Lost it all pretty much 3-4 wks pp w/o doing much at all, only BFing. Now, after I weaned at 8mos 15lbs crept back in somehow and that's how I started this pg so much heavier and kinda near to where I ended the last one (yikes!!!).
I am up 25 lbs at almost 33 weeks..I too was cringing watching the scale climb but I know I am eating healthy and staying active as much as possible working out lightly 3 days a week....(indulging in the odd....ah who am I kidding...the weekly cadbury creme egg!! hehe )
I lost 15 pounds in the first trimester, and have only now gained it back. So, while I have gained 15 pounds, I'm really only at zero. Which sounds pretty funky.

I am 32 weeks and have gained 22 lbs. I have been watching my diet pretty closely though. I usually am in the 40 lbs weight gaining club.

Ehh, I'm up 33 pounds with 3 weeks to go, and I was hoping to keep it under 30. Such is life.
Two of the most fabulous-looking moms I know gained 70 lbs. each with their pregnancies, and lost it all pretty quickly. There is hope!
