Hello Ladies. I'm new to this board. I have PCOS and insulin resistance, so I'm going to need help TTC. I've heard great things about Femaprin and ordered some. Here's my issue:
I just received my Femaprin in the mail yesterday.
Here's the deal, though. I just stopped BCP this month. If things
come on schedule (which I doubt they will) I'll start O'ing at the end
of this week. So far, I have had negative OTKs.
My question: Should I start taking Femaprin now or wait until AF comes...if it ever does?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Femaprin/Vitex
I have no idea what femaprin is. I think metformin from your Dr is more likely to help.
I think you should check out fertilityfriend.com and start charting. PCOS can cause OPK fakeouts. Meaning you will get a + opk but not actually ovulate. OPKs will help catch your surge, charting your temps will tell you if you actually did ovulate and when. I think this is the best plan when dealing with pcos and irregular cycles.
Also, check out soulcysters.com it's all about pcos.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I had three really, really long cycles from 8/2008-2/2009 and I started taking vitex 2/2009 which regulated me immediately. I started taking it mid-cycle and that cycle wound up only being 30 days long!
I am sure results vary but Vitex definately helped regulate me. If PCOS is your only issue, Vitex may just do the trick for you.
