What do I NEED for a 2nd baby

I put a few things on my amazon wish list, but like 3 things. Like a sling, a stroller and a new monitor. What do I need for #2?

The only things I really *needed* were: furniture, new diaper champ, diapers, double stroller, mai tei carrier. Now, things I bought but weren't necessities: new video monitor, diaperbag, clothes (though having another boy, I definitely didn't need anymore!) and other fun cute baby things!

We started thinking of this over the weekend. We know we need furniture, double stroller, new diaper bag (ours is kindof small esp for 2 kids), another camera for our video monitor. We'll need new bedding if its a girl and clothes if its a girl.

carrie - I never thought about another diaper thing. That's a good thought.

Oh yeah, we already bought new furniture. I got a crib and I am reusing Evie's changing table. Poor kid is getting a mish mash of furniture. But I didn't see the point of getting anew changing table when it gets used for such a short time. I am waiting for gender determination to buy sheets and stuff. I found the ones I want at Land of Nod. And I got a new diaper bag.

Just making sure I'm not forgetting anything. Obvs, if its a boy, I need clothes.

We didn't have to buy too much since we were having another boy, but since I was using Ethan's baby furniture for Jack, I had to buy Ethan a toddler bed, etc., for his bedroom. I also bought a new monitor, double stroller, glider, diapers, and small things like diaper cream, lotion, and baby wash. I bought a couple new outfits just so Jack could have something new to wear.

we needed a new crib, a second diaper champ, a second monitor and then I bought another set of the ultimate crib sheet since I still use one on Finn's bed, and another set of sheets, and then we had traded in all of our BPA infused bottles back when the whole BPA thing came out so we needed to buy new non-BPA bottles. I also got another changing pad and cover because we still put Finn on the changing pad to change his diapers. oh and I got a new set of valves for my pump. but everything else was from Finn.

how the hell did I forget the double stroller? ha! yes, we got a double! and I tried two different kinds of baby carriers because I figured it would be easier to carry riley and have my hands/arms free for finn but I just couldn't really get comfortable with either one I got.

I want:

video monitor, double BOB, new clothes (for boy - got them), sling or mei tai, glider/rocker or recliner, new convertible car seat (2) when its time, diapers, etc.

Big girl stuff for P. We are reusing all her old furniture, gear, and bedroom decor. I hate to get another diaper pail bc I am hoping I won't need it long, but I guess $35 is not too much to spend on something that will def get used.

Off the top of my head:

- another monitor

- another diaper pail

- another changing pad with covers

- more teethers, pacifiers

- new nipples to bottles (or new bottles)

- personalized blankets and clothes

- will they be the same season or same sex? If no to either, clothes

- i wanted some new onsies and bibs since they get so nasty

- double stroller (I pink puffy heart the Urban Mountain Buggy ...it is the #1 double seller in NYC and goes through a regular door but is side by side and super easy to steer and seriously feels like you are pushing 2 lbs).

- another car seat ...maybe not infant but the next level

the only thing we bought for Ava was clothes. we didn't get a double stroller, just used the old one and i would carry Ava and Cater would ride when they were younger.

But, I'm a HUGE penny pincher, so I won't buy it unless i REALLY need it.

So far we have new beddings for baby, outfits and convertible carseat. Still need one more convertible but not ASAP.

I needed a new stroller, second video monitor camera, diaper champ, and furniture for Jack's big boy room. Also got a new high chair (space saver one) b/c I was so sick of the regular big one in my kitchen. I also needed an exersaucer and bassinet since I had borrowed those items the first time around...

I STILL have not found the perfect diaper bag for two kids in diapers, and my baby is 18 months old. Kinda bummed about that, I love bags, and just never found what I was looking for
