people always assured me dd would do everything in her own time and warned that she would prob just do everything in one week..how right they were! she crawled, pulled up and sat up all in one day!! so don't worry, they do do everything when the time is right for them. and it's so awesome!

Re: If you're worried about LOs development
Thank you for posting this. My LO has rolled over once or twice, and hasn't tried crawling at all...despite the fact that he still has tummy time several times a day. He sits up like a champ, and loves to take steps while holding on to us, but no pulling up. He's also babbling up a storm. Everyone wants to know two things...is he crawling and does he have teeth. So the answers to those to questions are no. Then go on to to say, "...but he's soooooooo big" I tell them that he's on his own schedule and that I'm not worried...which I'm not. However after saying the same thing over and over it does get under my skin sometimes.
Thanks again!
I agree. My DH is getting competitive with other kids K's age because they have teeth and K doesnt! I tell him, "all babies are different- some crawl at 5 months, some at 11months. dont rush them, and if it bothers you, come to a pedi appt one time and ask"
NJ, my DS wouldn't roll over, either. I mean he *could*, I had seen him do it, but he just didn't seem interested. Yesterday I was giving him some tummy time and he started rolling over and over all around the living room!
Don't worry, it really will happen, just when they're ready!
Yay, Hayden!

Yay for your DD!
I will also say that sometimes it doesn't happen all at once, and that's ok, too. My dd rolled over at 8 months, crawled at almost 11 months, pulled up at 14 months, and walked at 18 months. So, it was a loooong time in between skills. She is 100% fine, just on her own timetable.
As general rules, if your pedi isn't worried, you shouldn't be, either. The range of "normal" is huge for most skills. And, most important, the Bump is incredibly inaccurate as a way to gauge whether your LO is on track. People only post when their baby is doing something early, so it seems like all the babies here are advanced. IRL, I don't know any babies who crawled before 8 months (and I know a LOT of babies since I have 2 kids) but seems like everyone here does. So, don't go by what you see on here!
