I think it's absolutely gorgeous. Some people might pronounce it wrong but the people she's in contact with the most often, at school and home, will learn quickly how to pronounce it.

Such a pretty name. It is growing in popularity, so while that could be viewed as a negative, at least more people will be familiar with it's pronunciation.
I can't help it but everytime I see this name, my mind automatically pronounces it "is-luh." I think it might be b/c I went to school w/ a girl that pronounced her name "is-luh". But I love the sound of eye-la.

LOVE it. It is growing in popularity, so by the time she reaches school age, pronounciation probably won't be much of a problem. But as someone named ?ilis (pronounced AY-lish), who spent a great deal of time in the States growing up, I can tell you it's kind of a pain to have to constantly correct people on the spelling and pronounciation of your name, but for me, it's really not a big deal and I love my name. I also get loads of compliments on it after I correct people So don't worry too much about people not knowing how to pronounce it.
Re: What do you think when you hear this name...
Honestly i think it's a really pretty name. However, even though i know how its pronounced, i still read it Is-la.....
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I love it. Of course Isla Fisher is where I first heard the name and fell in love right away. I also have a friend who named her DD this.
