Convertible car seats?

Which one did you end up buying?  I don't know what I did w/ my baby bargins book.  Of course, I want one w/ great ratings and a great value.

 TIA!

Re: Convertible car seats?

  • We bought the Recaro Como G2 and LOVE it! The ratings are wonderful also. If you go to Lone Star Baby in NRH they will match ANY price that you find online! We got ours for $100.00 less!

  • Britax Marathon and Blvd. - we have 2 Marathon and 1 Blvd. Both are great.
  • Britax Boulevard

  • Britax Marathon - have two, love them!  When / if we have another baby, we will get a Sunshine Radian to replace one of the Britaxes because it is more narrow and we would be able to fit three carseats across and not have to buy a new car.  The Sunshine Radian gets incredible reviews, in addition to the Britax lines.
  • We have the Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL because of the safety ratings, it doesn't have a gigantic base (no banging DS's head getting him in and out of it), it's narrow, RF 5-45 lbs and FF 20-80 lbs.  We should be able to use this seat for a VERY long time.

  • I'm planning on ordering the Graco Myride 65. The "streamer" color is on sale at BBB for 100, and they said I could order it in store and use a coupon.

We've both of these as well and love them both.

  • Thanks for posting about the Streamer at BBB, Mandarod.  I just bought one at BRU and it was "Clearanced" for $159.99.  I think I'll be taking it back and getting the one for $99! :)

We have a FP carseat (made by Britax) and a Marathon for my first kiddo.  In the process of buying MORE carseats for the second! :)  The Marathon was okay, but the latch bar broke (screw fell out) and therefore we can only use it with a seatbelt now so not the biggest fan of their carseats.

  • Britax Diplomat.  Because it is highest rated by Consumer Reports.  Other option was the Boulevard but didn't fit in the car.
  • We have two Britax Marathons. Love them!

  • You guys must have huge backseats- I can't believe how many people can fit the Marathon in their car backwards.  It barely fit in our SUV and there was no way it was going in the sedan.  I'm annoyed that now we're going to have to buy a bigger one (and apparently a bigger car) later down the line.  I'm jealous.
