Eastside crib from BRU

Anyone have this crib? Are you happy with it? We're going to go buy it soon but just looking for opinions. Thanks! :)

Re: Eastside crib from BRU

  • We are getting this same crib in the Cinnamon color.  I plan to order it this month.  My SIL bought a Babi Italia crib a few months ago after her Storkcraft crib was recalled and she really likes the crib.  There are no plastic parts that I could see and me and hubby really shook the crib to check on how solid it was and it seemed pretty solid to us.  I have not heard of any recalls to the Babi Italia line so that was good news for us.

  • We have the crib in the Cherry color. It is very high quality, as is all of the other pieces. However, due to the top rail in the front being so wide, it is impossible to use a bumper in the front with the mattress in the highest position (hope that makes sense).

Notice they don't have a bumper on in the picture. That's because the space between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the horizontal rail is too narrow for a bumper.

  • We got the Eastside Classic Crib, and we are really happy with it. We got it in Cherry. It's sturdy and beautiful.

Agree with pp about bumper.  With the crib mattress at the highest setting there isn't room for the bumper... I mean, it fit, but it went right to the top and the whole airflow issue freaked me out. But it looks very nice without the bumper.

Thanks! I wouldn't have realized this until I got it home and set it up. Not a big deal though because I don't think we'll be using a bumper in the beginning anyway. Once LO can turn over on her own, we may use it but we'd probably move the mattress down by then.

  • i love that crib. it was my second choice if we didn't get the ones we ended up with. Very sturdy and classic looking for a good price. I think it's a great buy
  • We got it in white, along with the dresser/changing table combo.  We set both up a couple weeks ago, and they are very sturdy and nice looking.  Obviously haven't used with the baby yet, but so far we're happy.  Baby Bargains rates this brand highly as well, which is why we settled on it.
  • We have this collection in Cherry and love it!  My husband was very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the furniture.  We also had a little problem with the bumper and mobile attaching with the large slates.
