G's getting tubes and adenoids removed :(

The adenoids are a maybe. The doc will look at them during surgery and remove if necessary. Hopefully this will help him feel better and sleep better.

  • Poor guy! Monk needs tubes also. I hope they help!

  • We're going in on April 1st. Do you guys have a date set yet?
  • Just the consult. Scary stuff.
  • Totally. Especially since he'll be under general anesthesia. But it will put an end to the fluid in the middle ear so that's what I'm looking forward to.

They will be fine! Better than before! Still not fun though.

  • Yea. Well GL to you and Monk!
  • I think Asher is headed in that direction as well. Someone IRL told me that if she were given the option, she would have had the adenoids removed at the tubes surgery. I guess they can cause snoring, impeding sleep and lead to a sleepy inattentive kid during the day. I am of course paraphrasing a much longer, detailed conversation and have done ZERO research myself, but thought I'd throw it out there.
  • So sorry. At least maybe he will feel better.

  • Owen is getting tubes and possible adenoid removal on Thursday at 7:40 AM. I am a little nervous the closer we get. Mainly about the general anesthesia and waking from it. I am also concerned about the not eating after midnight thing. Currently we are up a couple times a night to eat. I secretly hope that the tubes will make him sleep better.
