Help me plan a vacation

I have no idea where to go. We live in MA, would like to fly no more than 4-5 hours, and will be bringing C who will be 10 months old. It will be 2nd week in June, for about 7 nights. Hubs says he'd like to stay in the States, budget about $2000-$3000. We like beaches, shopping, site-seeing, hiking - not too hot, though!
