I had decided on the City Mini but a lot of you are talking about the Uppa Baby Vista.
We will do a lot of walking in the first 3 months once LO is here so the uppa baby basinette would be handy, but after that we will have/need a car as we will be in the burbs so the stroller needs to be easy to get in and out of the car.
Which would you recommend especially if you have a City Mini (we will get the car seat adapter).
Thanks
Re: City Mini or Uppa Baby (need something for walking and in the car)
I have a City Mini and I love it (my baby hates the carseat, so in turn hates the stroller, but that is a whole different story!). It is so so so easy to get in and out of the car, it is a smooth ride, and the basket underneath is roomy without being gigantic. It is also narrow enough to take in to restaurants without feeling like you are blocking lots of space. (In theory, if Lucy liked her carseat and would sleep in there, I could take her from the car to the stroller and just pull the stroller up to the table.)
Just this week, we took the car seat adapter off and have been slowly walking around the neighborhood with her sitting directly in the stroller. It reclines enough that I feel comfortable with her sitting in there, even though she can't sit unassisted yet. I love love love the gigantic sun shade. It blocks out the wind but she can still look around. Plus, the car seat adapter is easy enough to take on and off that we can easily snap it back on if we want/need to.
I highly recommend it... even if Lucy is still learning how great it is!
we don't have it yet (obviously), but we're getting the city mini. we've talked to lots of people who own them who just rave about them. i'm a little too excited about this stroller. ha!
Because we're fancy like that.
