2nd Trimester

why i stayed team green-from a 2 time mom

i know it is a big decision and one that is pretty personal, but for those who aren't sure or who would like to know they aren't in a minority here is my experience.   we waited to find out with both of our children and my doctor was awesome and let my husband tell me both times what our babies were!   the best 2 moments of my life were watching his smile and eyes light when he was able to tell me "its a girl" (the first time) and then shout with joy three times when it was a boy this last time.

definately worth the wait and anticipation!   good luck on your journey to mommyhood no matter if you find out at an ultrasound or wait for the big day!

  • We were team green with our first and it was pretty awesome experience!    We found out with our second, and that was a pretty great experience, too:)   Both ways are great surprises!

  • This is what we are looking forward to! :)

My OB agreed to let DH catch the baby in delivery (if everything goes well!) and I can't wait to see him hold up our LO & say those magic words! For me personally I didn't see how having a u/s tech say it to us at 20wks could compare! Plus you get double the anticipation waiting for 40wks vs. 20! ;)

  • We were team green for my first pregnancy, and I just LOVED that moment when DH had the biggest smile I have ever seen on him and say "it's a boy!!!".  We chose to be team green again with this pregnancy, and I am really looking forward to that moment again!!
  • THanks for your story! We found out what we were having with DD but plan to stay team green this time. Everyone's stories about finding out in the delivery room seem so exciting and emotional.

  • I am team geen--I never even thought of asking doc if DH could tell me if it's a boy or girl--I'm going to ask. Granted, he'll be a crying, choked up mess so it might take him a minute. ;-)
