Re: Baby Jogger City Select?

  • Too funny, it is nap time right now and my husband and I just sat down to make our decision. We read/watched a helpful review (includes a video) on www.babygizmo.com and I think we're going to pull the trigger.  #2 is due mid-may and this stroller is backordered from here to kingdom come so if we order now it should show up by the time the baby is here...Sorry I know that is not helpful, since I don't actually own it (nor do I know anyone that does) but thought you might like to see that video review if you hadn't already!

  • I just bought this stroller.  I'm yet to use it as a double, but as a single I love it!  DC#2 isn't due until August, but I ordered it early because I knew I could use it right away as a single.  I love that it switches from a single to double for extended use.

One thing I don't love is the fold on it.  I wish it would stand up on it's own (we had a Graco previously and it stood up on it's own).  It's a little awkward to pick up, I haven't really figured out where to grab it.  It folds down to a good size so it will fit in pretty much any trunk.  I don't know how big or awkward it will be as a double, but the seat comes off easily.

The other stroller I was debating was the Phil & Teds but I refuse to have zero storage space with two kids.  The basket on the BJ is big enough for a diaper bag and extra bags.

It was expensive (cost me $950), but it drives like a dream.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this stroller!  I have only had it for about a week but it was well worth every penny!!!  I was so happy to find a stroller like this!
  • OK we just bought it at www.joggingstrollers.com (with the $5 return shipping insurance just in case, I haven't been able to see the dang thing in person since none of the stores around us can seem to keep them in stock!) and I will let you know as soon as it gets here what I think - should be mid-March!

I just got mine and I am bummed. I can't figure out how to have toddler in seat facing forward and baby in either bassinet or car seat facing me. The only way that works is if toddler facec rear. Plus it seems long in any other config except two seats regular facing forward. Might switch for baby jogger city select side by side.

  • My local maternity boutique just got them in and I will be taking DD to check it out tomorrow.  I will update!
