Childgarden is great. They are off Laclede. DD has been there since she was 3 months. They are an Easter Seals run program which allows for yearly developmental screening for free. They also have more intense screening available if you need that. On site physical, speech therapy, etc. Most of the children are not in need of these services, but it comforted me that if DD needed them it would be in a familiar environment. And that the teachers are trained to see these issues and get early intervention. If they are full, Shaw Avenue is good right at Shaw and Tower Grove. I've also heard good things about Downtown Children's Center. I had DD in Mary Margaret and they were horrible - I won't get into the details, but I pulled her out after 3 days and an ER visit.
