I like to think of it as "constructive criticism"
Then again, I dont think I've ever been really "flamed"... And if I have, then I didnt realize it.
Actually the Knot was the first place I ever got flamed, and it was over an issue with DH deploying and the MIL...now I tend to get flamed on the Bump...maybe I should keep my vents/opinions/questions to myself and just read other ppls issues and see if they have the same problems?

I feel like I got flamed for a post about student loans a while back...but maybe I was just being sensitive. Other than that, no. Maybe a good follow up questions is:
In hindsight, do you think the flamming was deserved???
I think a lot of people get flamed because when things are typed out, without any inflection, facial expressions, gestures, etc etc to accompany them, the words are taken at face value because it is all anyone can do! I think we're probably all guilty of both judging others and also being the one to say something on here and then reading it later to realize, yikes, I came off a bit rude, oops
I was lightly flamed and no, I still don't think it was deserved. I purposely do not put ALL the nitty gritty details on things because I don't feel it is the world's business. I doubt I'm the only one. When you are not in the situation you just can't know all, and yet not knowing all is pretty much what causes most of the flaming. I don't hate anyone over it and I can see why it happened, I just wish people would consider that they don't know the whole story most of the time. Ha, I should snap out of that rainbows and sunshine daydream right now!

I think after bumping for a few months, you learn to look at what you type from 50 different points of view to make sure someone can't somehow interpret what you say as rude (if you don't mean it that way). But, people like to make innocent stuff seem bad when they're in the mood to flame... so sometimes, there's just no way around it.
Also, no I don't think mine was deserved either.
It was on first tri, I was maaaaybe 6 weeks along? I was trying to figure out my insurance/medicaid situation. Got some great tips from some lovely ladies, and also some less-than-socially-acceptable responses as well. Guess I was a noob, but I didn't realize that asking a simple question about health coverage would cause such a ruckus! Lesson learned.

Yea I think I might remember it too. There are two flameful threads in my memory involving Medicaid that happened in first tri, not sure which was you. Were you upset because they screwed up your paperwork and you weren't able to get in for your first appointment 'til later than you'd hoped?

Nope, though I remember that one as well! It was after mine by a few days I think. Mine was just asking if anyone had been or was on it, and what was it like. I'd always been without insurance or on a group plan before, but was caught in a sticky coverage situation.

The kate spade diaper bags were WAY better quality and more functional than the Coach ones. I'm in love, haha.

Exactly. We looked at Coach, lots of options, but most of them would not have cleaned well at all. The linings are that satiny/silk they use in the normal bags and so are the changing pads! I mean really...one pee stain and you'd have to toss it out. Plus they were heavy and none were really neutral. The linings of the kates are waterproof or resistant, same for the changing pad, and the fabrics won't just soak everything up and be stained.

Someone asked if I was an AE and then, I didnt even KNOW what it meant. I was confused.
