I was crafty this weekend! LsIP

It was too cold & windy to do anything outside this weekend & DH was busy with the nursery & couldn't help me in the basement so I had to find other stuff to do.

With our bedding set, we got this tiny pillow. It didn't seem to really have any purpose so I sewed on a ribbon & now we can hang it from the door knob or over the crib! Pic: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=11449915&l=9a264cc5fe&id=869125244

We've decided not to use the bumpers that came with the bedding set & use mesh ones instead. However, I figured that we paid for it, I didn't want it to go to waste. I went to Target & bought a lamp. I then cut off some of the bumper, removed the stitching (there's was way more than I expected on there!!) & foam padding. Using a hot glue gun, I attached the bumper fabric to the lamp shade. I think it came out pretty good! Right now I'm working on making a small decorative pillow for the glider & once it warms up & the wind calms down, I'll be priming & repainting the lamp base to be brass to go with other hardware in the room!

Nice job.......that's the same lamp I was looking at in Target as well - I think I might try putting fabric on it now that I've seen what you've done with it.
