did you wash car seat covers before using them?

we (well, really my husband) are doing millions of loads of laundry to wash all the new and used clothes and blankets that people have given us. We also washed the bouncy seat and swing covers from the ones that we got at a consignment store. Did anyone wash things like new car seat covers, new swing/bouncy seat covers, new playmat, etc.? I don't like the "new fabric smell" but my husband thinks I'm going a bit overboard to want him to do this. Or maybe he's just tired of doing laundry. :)

    I didn't...and now I'm wondering why not.  I washed all his clothes, bedding, etc, but things like carseats, swings, the boppy and bouncers he got right out of the packaging.  Obviously no big deal, but it does seem logical to do them all...

    I washed the swing and bouncy seat but not the car seat. It wasn't going to be directly on his skin so I didn't see a need.

    I did, washed and hung dry... warehouses where they store stuff like that are disgusting.... rodents, bugs, dust, etc....

    I wash everything cloth before my kids (or I) use/wear it.... clothes, toys, everything.

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    I didn't even think about washing it...um no I wouldn't wash one.  But then again I didn't wash anything haha.  Im a bad mommy like that though ;)
