i refuse to spend a lot on this stuff bc i know 1/2 the people dont take.
and i figure, hey, i like chocolate, cant lose if i get stuck with 50 left over.
the boxes are $19.95 for 25 and then whatever the kisses are so thats not too bad per person.
any other ideas?
Re: PIP opinions on this wedding favor?
Cards that say donations have been made to a charity in lue ( sp) of favors.
How many people are you inviting?
Honestly, with most of the weddings I've been too, people don't take the favors. Maybe it's because they get too drunk and forget them, but still. I'd hate to see you end up with a bunch leftover!
lol a friend of mine got red and black for her dd's party and she said she spent a fortune on them!!

those are super cute!
are you doing personalized candy? because that can get expensive in a hurry. if not, you could do personalized ribbon. i can't remember where i got mine, but it was pretty cheap.
we did the standard mint tins - personalized.
we also did personalized candles (in cheap favor boxes) and used the same ones on the tables, so we got the bulk discount.
i'm kind of a big personalized item person for weddings (in case you couldn't tell). i mean, when else does it get to be about just you guys.
I am the same way and refused to spend a ton of $. Those would be great.
Our idea: We ended up doing can coozies. We spent less than $100 for 200 customized. Our friends and family still use them. They said "to have and to hold and keep your beer cold" with our names and date. They were cute, mind you we had a 21+ wedding.
i LOVE that!
We had coozies also. Thats the big thing to do around our area. I think its a kind of favor that depends on the formality of the wedding though.
i think our friends would be psyched about them - but the older aunts not so much, kwim?
maybe ill get them for my bridal party? do you have a site?
this is what we did. we made a donation to a special needs school in our state.
I think its these guys. They were really easy to work with too and have some good pics.

I was the same way with our wedding. I didn't want to do favors at all until I came up with this idea:
The tag said: "Thank you for celebrating with us. Mr. and Mrs. Miller November 1, 2008"
It cost us only $80 for 200 of them, I think. But, they had quoted me the wrong price per case than it should of been when I placed the order. Thank goodness they honored the price I was told!
Candy is always good, but I think people forget to take it a lot of time.
We did lotto tickets ($1 each) and it was a big hit! We put them in little cellophane bags with a sticker that said "Lotto Thanks for Coming" because we're corny like that (DH wanted to use "Hope you get Lucky at our Wedding" but I nixed that).
What I did for our wedding was get Lindt chocolates in bulk and then I used those see through sash bags and filled these bags with the chocolates. Then, I ordered tea bags that had our names on them with a cute little saying and then put a cute poem in it. DH loves chocolate and I love tea...so it was fitting. GL!
I like it!!
We used similar boxes for my wedding and I had my grandma make truffles to put in them. They turned out great!!!
